Abstract

Obligation to include halal label certification and guarantee information on products being marketed. This is motivated by the fact that there are still business actors and the public who feel restricted and disadvantaged by the obligation to include halal labels and non-halal information in Article 25 and Article 26 of the Halal Product Guarantee Law, especially for business actors (producers) and non-Muslim communities. The Halal Product Guarantee Law and the Job Creation Perppu concerning the obligation to include a halal label are considered inconsistent with the principles of justice and legal protection which should only apply to people who adhere to the Islamic religion.
