NILAI-NILAI KARAKTER DALAM KARYA SASTRA MELAYU GURINDAM DUA BELAS DAN IMPLEMENTASINYA DI SMA NEGERI 1 TANJUNG PINANG
Abstract
This research aims to find out the values contained in Gurindam Dua Belas which can be used as a source of inspiration in character education at SMA Negeri 1 Tanjungpinang. This research also focuses on efforts to foster the attitude of Malay civilization, as well as identifying obstacles and solutions in the implementation of character education. The researcher used a descriptive qualitative research method with the research subjects namely students at SMA Negeri 1 Tanjungpinang.In data collection, the researcher applied various techniques such as observation, interviews, and documentation. The data obtained is analyzed through several stages, including data collection, data reduction, data presentation, to drawing conclusions or verification. This approach allows researchers to deeply understand the application of Malay cultural values in the context of character education in the school. The results of the study show that SMA Negeri 1 Tanjungpinang has applied the values in Gurindam Dua Belas to shape the character of students and foster the attitude of Malay civilization. Some of the values taught include faith in God Almighty, politeness and politeness in interacting, the spirit of unity and unity, the preservation of Malay customs and culture, and the love of science. Through the implementation of these values, schools strive to create an educational environment that not only focuses on academic aspects, but also pays attention to the formation of morals and character of students. However, in its implementation, there are several obstacles such as limited resources and diverse understandings among students. To overcome this, schools hold training for teachers, increase Malay cultural materials in the curriculum, and involve parents in supporting the formation of students' character.
