Abstract
This study aims to examine the implementation of multicultural education within Civic
Education instruction at a cadet-based school, namely SMAN Taruna Nala East Java in
Malang City. Cadet-based schools are characterized by strict discipline, leadership
development, and a coaching structure that mirrors a military system factors that
present both challenges and opportunities in promoting multicultural values. Employing
a descriptive qualitative approach, data were collected through interviews, observations,
and documentation. The findings indicate that multicultural values such as tolerance,
respect for diversity, empathy, and solidarity can be effectively integrated into Civic
Education through contextual teaching methods, project-based learning, and role
modeling within dormitory life. This implementation is further supported by the
Merdeka Curriculum and the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project (P5). In
conclusion, multicultural education in Civic Education at cadet-based schools plays a
crucial role in fostering inclusive, tolerant, empathetic, and cooperative citizens.
